Shine on me.
And they all started their journeys as broken people, whether they self-destructed or had unfortunate circumstances or life events come upon them. I know, because I am one of these self-destructing people turned happy. Happy people know suffering more than anyone else, and that’s how they can see just how damn beautiful their lives are. It’s because they’ve seen the depths.

It’s mother’s day, and my birthday. I think the universe connived to make this day coincide. But then I finally decided to text you. But blocked you first from calling me before I hit send.
I can’t answer it. Atleast not yet.
I was a stain, the freckle to that clear face, the freak of nature, the unperfect.
I hope you’re finally happy. Now that you’re just left with the two kids you’re proud of, that you never have to think of excuses for that daughter who makes you feel embarassed, or unpopular to your friends. I hope you’re happy. I really do.
And I hope that every mother will love their child.
Happy mother’s day.
